Excellent work. I really enjoyed your -- dare I say it -- Rule 63 take on the team. This, the Scout, and the Sniper are amongst my favourites. And you did the Heavy some justice too. They're not oversexualized like you see some artists here do, and that is most certainly a breath of fresh air. And, my gift to you: a fave, a small review, and a profile
Oh, and have a sentry too
Name - Irene Conagher Age - 25 Origin - Bee Cave, Texas, United States of America Known Relatives - Dell Conagher (Father), Radigan Conagher (great grandfather) Employer - Reliable Excavation and Demolitions
Miss Conagher has proven to be an invaluable asset to RED's operations. She has definitely inherited her father's intellect and knack with machines. The only drawback is that she refuses to fight against the mercenaries of Builder's League United, even moreso when her father is present on the field of battle. At all other times, she is perhaps the most valuable member of the team. Recommended for immediate promotion.
Isn't there some way to purchase a print of this art? Sorry, I'm terrible at using deviantart... I'm thinking about giving a framed print of this to a friend for her birthday. Can you help me figure that out?
I really like everything about this piece. Great use of red near the head to draw my attention up there
I think the back of her head might be a bit too big. The goggles are following the skull almost too closely, it makes it look like the hair ontop should be a helmet, but it's still orange = hair? Confusing.
I think if you were careful you could use the black of the ear muff on the other side of her face to frame her skin more, the orang that's there from the bang is a little distracting.
I also feel the fracted light from her shirt on her hair is maybe too extreme, it's almost flattening it out?
Anyway, here's a link to what I mean. Hope you don't mind, just thought I could be clearer by showing you [link]
That's really great man, good luck, you're gonna make it far with that attitude! Might I recommend you keep an eye on a DA buddy of mine here: [link] He's really been helping me improve and if you help him out, maybe he'll return the favour, he knows a lot about foundations!
Hehe thanks, that's the only good attitude to have, especially for an autodidact like me!
And yup, I already knew Wildweasel, makes me jealous every time! I love that kind of art, he's doing a very honest work, not relying on any digital crap. The guy obviously know something about light and colors
