Wow wait, of course I know K.Dick And you're wrong, it's of utmost importance for a Sci Fi illustrator to know this kind of classics (A lot of illustrations makes so much more sense since I've read some Lovecraft And when it comes to guys in mech suits, I think you can give all credits to Robert Heinlein ). Are you sure Neuromancer is a K. Dick novel btw?
And yes, I have yet to read Shirow, I got the Ghost in the Shell book waiting on my shelf actually And I wanna read it before watching the anime... So much things to discover, and so little time!
Oh sorry I misunderstood your answer And yea you're right, Neuromancer belongs to Gibson (now I very hope it's like that, or I would saved a gaffe with a second gaffe ) Well, lately I see a lot of Lovecraft based illustrations, I'm happy to see that the passion for the Old Ones is still an evergreen!
If you want my two cents, Ghost in the shell is much better in it's animated life than in comic version (I obviously have both of them plus the cell comic, and the serie, blah blah blah)I think that it's much more understandable, and colors gives more depth to the opera
